The same story has been attributed to an Anasuya Dubey, and I’ve seen a comment by “Mary-Kay Gamel” (but who knows if she really posted it) saying she wasn’t the author. Anasuya sounds like an Indian name, and it doesn’t sound likely that McCain would make extremely derogatory racial comments about his Bangladeshi daughter to someone from India. I don’t think it’s a good idea to assume this is true, and if it’s not then it’s positively harmful to Obama, since it’s going to be seen as a dirty trick pulled by people on his side.

I trust my source, and I’m asking him to check his right back to Prof. Gamel. If there is any doubt in my mind, I’ll remove it immediately. In the meantime, I don’t encourage sending it on. However, I’m not going to insult my brother’s friend, who is a nationally-known attorney, by assuming it to be incorrect.
